Shibuya Crossing

While this crossing seemed to be huge in videos, it doesn't feel as big in reality. There are a ton of people walking through it each cycle though with the entire area being filled when the stoplights turn red. Our Shibuya tour guide mentioned 3,000 people will cross at one time during rush hour. When we were crossing during the tour she mentioned there was about 1,000 people or so and even that was pretty packed.

The crossing lasts for about 30-45 seconds and it's packed the entire time right until the lights change and there are people still running to get out of the street, as usually happens. There was a great vantage point of it from up on top of the GMO Building nearby that offered free entry to a balcony up top.
